Cryopreserved amniotic membrane transplantation in treatment of pure corneal
ulcers at dry eye syndrome
Authors studied the efficiency of amniotic membrane transplantation of
in treatment of pure corneal ulcers at dry eye syndrome. There were 235
patients under supervision, 145 of them had rapidly progressive course.
All patients were performed different surgical interventions in combination
with conservative therapy. Transplantation of amniotic membranes were
lead to 38 patients. It was stacked to a cornea by epithelium and filed
to episclera. At 89,5 % of patients full restoration of cornea tissue
was marked in 1,5-3 months. Thus, this method in combination with conservative
therapy is perspective and giving sianificant reoarative result.

Postkeratoplastic syndrome of dry eye
In the article the author describe the algorithm of conducting patients
with postkeratoplastic dry eye syndrome depending on the degree of its
severity. There were 66 patients after penetrating keratoplasty under
supervision. In the postoperative period there were following problems:
slow epithelisation of the transplant (in most cases more than 6 day),
high probability of development of purulent process, increase of intraocular
pressure, etc. Patients were divided into 3 groups on the degree of severity
of developed dry eye syndrome, depending on terms of full transplant epithelisation.
Treatment was individual for each group, keratoprotectors (Corneregel,
Vi-disic) were an obligatory part of therapy. Surgical interventions were
performed in 3 weeks after the beginning of treatment at absence of a
positive effect. Adequate therapy before and after operation allowed to
lower the probability of development epithelial problems at patients after
penetrating keratoplasty.

Prevalence of dry eye syndrome at patients transferred adenoviral Ophtalmo-infection
There were 96 patients with adenoviral eye diseases under supervision,
unsatisfied with results of the lead treatment. All patients received
antiviral, antiallergic and anti-inflammatory therapy, were regulary examined
for revealing dry eye syndromes attributes. Development of dry eye syndrome
was diagnosed on the 28th day from the beginning of disease at 41 % of
women and 19 % of men. Gradually the quantity of patients with dry eye
syndrome increased and constituted 94 % among women and 62 % among men
in 18 months. For prophylaxis of dry eye syndrome rational therapy of
adenoviral eye diseases in the sharp period, early diagnostics of dry
eye syndrome and long correction of defection of tear film are necessary.

Clinical forms of secondary dry eye: study of patho-genesis, development
of algorithms of therapy and prophylaxis
The author systematized the basic clinical forms of secondary dry eye
and defined distinctions in their patho-genesis, prophylaxis and treatment.
264 patients were examined and divided into 6 groups depending on the
reason of occurrence of the syndrome. Pathogenetic mechanisms were revealed
for each group as well as individual schemes of preventive maintenance
and treatment were developed. For example, dry eye syndrome at patients
with allergic conjunctivitis was eliminated by lance of antiedematous
therapy, with secondary cornea dystrophy - by lanse of reparative, anti-inflammatory
therapy and tears substitutes, etc. The frequency of development of a
heavy stage of secondary dry eye decreased considerably at the duly beginning
of therapy.
